Shark Week - 20 Year Anniversary
Neptunic Sharksuits appeared in several new Sharkweek programs and many of the previous seasons favorites. According to one of the Discovery Channel producers, “lt is not surprising considering the roll Neptunic Sharksuits have performed for divers, scientists and camera crews in their efforts to film the most spectacular of marine predators”. This year’s host Les Stroud from Survivorman learned the hard way that while experienced shark handlers can safely interact with feeding sharks, it is not for amateurs. The Neptunic Sharksuit Stroud was wearing saved him from serious injury to his hand and a moment later protected his cameraman from loosing his forearm. We are pretty sure what Les would like to say to NEPTUNIC is... Thank you, Thank You very Much !

Neptunic had a very busy 2006 pushing forward on dramatic new developments in our protective gear, expanding our product line, launching our wholesale division of Neptunic Brand clothing and accessories to the dive industry as well as participating in 6 more television programs….. The 2006 Shark week in which Neptunic was so prominently featured has been described as the best in the 19-year history of the weeklong program.
Scott Cassell of Sea-Wolves Unlimited brought some interesting challenges for hybrid Neptunic Armor to protect him while conducting very spooky interactive work with large predatory Humboldt squid…in the dark…at great depth…while tethered by steel cable to a boat on the surface like…. well, like bait. The word back from one television host that joined them on a dive was that without their Neptunic Armor, they'd be goners. During the past year Scott's dramatic work utilizing Neptunic Armor included projects for Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, and History Channel.
Canadian Discovery Channel's 'Guinea Pig' had some fun participating in some successful cross application tests of Neptunic technology for heavy biting terrestrial animals.

Neptunic to be on anchor segment for this summer's Shark Week.
Neptunic will be featured on a program aptly named “Dirty Jobs: Jobs That Bite HARDER” with Mike Rowe. After a week of filming at Stuart Coves Dive Bahamas we are happy to announce the Neptunic Sharksuit has once again come through with flying colors. Diving with 40+ five-to-eight foot Caribbean Reef sharks everyone managed to come back to the boat with all parts intact and very little blood loss. Aside from a few major brawls with some very aggressive females (as usual), Jeremiah Sullivan has proven once again nothing can match the protection of a Neptunic Sharksuit. Even baiting with Bonita, (AKA catnip for Sharks), the most damage done was done by a big’ol grouper. GO FIGURE!

Neptunic gives the History Channel a lesson on Body Armor on the Test Lab.
Neptunic has just wrapped up shooting for the History Channel’s “Test Lab”. The segment will consist of testing the Neptunic products with examples of slash and bite techniques, pressure tests and live footage of bait-for-bite tests done at Stuart Coves Dive Bahamas. One of the tests required a functional life size replica of a 22’ great white jaw to provide examples of bite damage with and without a Neptunic Sharksuit. After seeing this we are pretty sure you won’t want to go back in the water without one!
